One of the things that I still remember when I was in junior high school, my father had the habit of sleeping late at night. He always checks the doors of the house, making sure everything is locked properly. Thus every night when our children go to sleep, we can sleep peacefully, no need to worry and fear because surely all the doors of the house are locked so that the thief will not easily enter the house. According to the mother, the father’s habits had been going on since they were married, because he wanted to ensure that the whole house could sleep comfortably without having to worry that there was a door to the house that was still unlocked. More than a sense of security because the door to the house has been locked properly because of the habits of a responsible father, the Lord Jesus as a good shepherd has acted to preserve, guide and protect his people from all threatening distress. Ensuring that each of His people is safe and lives in peace. The Word of God in Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know that there are plans for me concerning you, saith the Lord, a plan of peace and not an accident, to give you a hopeful future.” God who lives the life in God’s plan will live in peace that is to live with a guaranteed future because of God, the good shepherd, who nourishes and protects his people. When facing a life crisis or fearful challenge, every believer can keep God’s promise that in His protection God’s people can still live in peace. By living in God’s perfect protection, God’s people will live in peace and have a hopeful future.
